UPIN AND IPIN STORY

Once upon a time there were two boys there lived as neighbors, upin and ipin. Ipin was a good fisherman and upin, being very clumsy, could not use the lure to good advantage. Upin was very unkind to ipin.
Every Sunday, upin would call over to ipin to take his lure and came with upin to the other side of the fish farm. Ipin fearing to arouse the upin’s anger by refusing, consented to go with upin and fished enough fish to satisfy the hungry himself. Indeed, he fished so many that there was lots of fish after the upin had loaded him selves and packed all they could carry home. However, the poor ipin could not even taste the fish, as the gluttonous upin would throw earth on the bone. Poor ipin would have to go home hungry after his hard day’s work. Therefore, he went to upin’s house and said,”I am suffering the greatest hunger. You are my beloved neighbors and you are rich. Please, give me a mouthful of fish. Upin was too stingy to give some fish to his neighbors (ipin) and said, “I myself have nothing in the house,” and he drove away her neighbors (ipin) with harsh words. After sometimes, the sister of the upin came home and was just going to give of fish. When he made the fish, out flowed red blood. When the maid saw that, she was very terrified and told her, what her young brother had done to ipin. After hearing the maid’s story, the sister hurried away to help the poor upin. But when she entered the ipin’s room she found his praying, she offered her fish, but he refused it and answered, ’’I no longer have a desire for earthly food. God has already satisfied the hunger of me, and he will listen to my supplication likewise.” After he uttered these word, he drew his last breath. Five seconds later, ipin sank down and died.
